The founders originally started BEACH CITIES AQUAPONIC SOCIETY in January of 2014 as a MEETUP Aquaponics group with a diverse group of Aquaponic and Hydroponic advocates in Southern California

We are a diverse group of Aquaculture and Hydroponic advocates in the Reno/Sparks/Tahoe area. Our members cover the full range of skill levels, from entry level to professional, but all share the passion of growing local, healthy, personally satisfying and sustainable food.

FSC intends to develop a cottage industry sized double closed-loop aquaculture systems for the sustainable production of shrimp in temperate Southern California.

In April of 2016 Food Security made application to become RESIDENT ARTISTS at the Generator. We were accepted by the collective group and moved in to our space on Friday, May 13, 2016.

The 2.5 acre Coastkeeper Garden is adjacent to the Santiago Canyon College campus in the City of Orange. This unique, sustainable garden hosts plants from six southern California native habitats as well as drought-tolerant plants.

This husband and wife's philosophy is to help nature through high-tech, low water, and energy farming, to feed the world and to reduce ​the depletion of the natural resources.

Food Security Technology is not limited to the USA, or any particular country for that matter. We're interested in any motivated, connected venture partners - globally.
